TVIPS designs and manufactures leading-edge digital cameras for TEM and also creates accompanying software packages.
The company Tietz Video and Image Processing Systems was founded by Hans R. Tietz in 1987 and is headquartered in Germany, 10 miles southwest of Munich.
In addition to well-established 1MPix to 16MPix CCD camera systems, a line of 16 MPix and 64 MPix CMOS cameras for TEM has been introduced. This new generation of cameras allows for large size and very fast image capture. It has the additional benefit that the entire design, manufacture and assembly is controlled and carried out in-house, allowing for increased quality control and faster servicing and repair times.
A dedicated software department with many years of experience relating to TEM camera procedures and requirements has developed the EM-MENU software packages, which reflect the needs of almost all users in the fields of (cryo) biology and material science. A powerful Windows-based image acquisition and processing software package ensures seamless integration into any type of TEM and allows for flexible custom solutions.
The TVIPS team has a wealth of in-house expertise, close connections to its partners and users in the scientific community, as well as strong working relationships with all the TEM manufacturers.
TVIPS is especially proud to announce E.A. Fischione Instruments, Inc. as the official representative for the USA and Canada, a partnership which will strengthen the existing North American customer base. At the Fischione facility, live demonstrations can be performed on a wide range of TVIPS cameras. Additionally, support
and service of cameras and software will be offered from Export, PA, or coordinated with the German headquarters if necessary.
