Eugene A. Fischione was involved with early developments in electron microscopy through his role as a research machinist at U.S. Steel. One such development was the Automatic Twin-Jet Electropolisher, which would become the first product of the newly formed E.A. Fischione Instruments, Inc. in 1966. [1]
Paul Fischione, son of the founder, acquired the company in 1986. Since then, Fischione Instruments has grown into a global leader in sample preparation instrumentation for electron microscopy.
Today, Fischione Instruments’ products are found in more than 500 research laboratories worldwide. End users are microscopists, materials scientists, and life scientists working in academia, government, and commercial enterprises. Products are sold direct in the U.S. and through an international distribution network.
